On 6 February 2023, the earthquakes near the region's border devastated people in southern Turkey and northern Syria.

In the case of Turkey, at least the number of casualties is more than 15.8 million, and 4 million buildings were affected.

The residents who have suffered from the impacts of the earthquakes have been inflicted severe and long-lasting burdens physically, mentally, and economically since that day.

Nonetheless, survivors are struggling to return to a peaceful life.
